Peripheral Neuropathy

Peripheral Neuropathy

1Peripheral neuropathy is a frequent and well-recognized condition that is defined as numbness, tingling or pain in nerves apart from the spine or brain, often in the hands and feet. Bondi Acupuncture has treated patient cases after surgery, birth and associated with Multiple Sclerosis.

In a working case study from the U.S., a patient undergoing cancer treatment had peripheral neuropathy symptoms after specific medication. However, their symptoms were effectively treated with acupuncture and western medications. The report suggested that patient recovery from illness was much improved because of prevention of the chemotherapy dose from being reduced due to acupuncture alleviating peripheral neuropathy symptoms, a side effect from this type of chemotherapy.8aa
